Project Communications Management Plan Template
A project communications management plan facilitates communication between project participants and stake holders. As a minimum, the communications management plan should detail the who, how, when and why various project communications will be executed. This should include:
- an identification of all project stake holders
- the information which must be communicated (e.g. reports, statistics, quality testing documents, etc.)
- the methods of project communications (e.g. email, use of specific application, meeting schedules, etc.)
Before creating the communications management plan, the project objectives must be clearly set. Without the objectives and associated scope statement, it will be difficult to set project responsibilities for project participants.
Keep in mind that the communications requirements of each project will be unique. The below template will help the project manager and project team to develop an effective communications management plan.
